hello, i was wondering is there a way to allow a “partially read-only” mode? I want my guests to be able to insert values into certain cells, but not be able to see the edit or morph bar and also be able to only download the pdf version of the filled spreadsheet. Is there a way i can achieve that ?
[Currently i understand there are only 2 modes, full read and read only.So what i’m asking is is there a “way around” to create a “3rd” modified version of full access?(one without the edit ,morph,download excel buttons)]
Unfortunately there is no way to implement partial mode for now.
Spreadsheet doesn’t support user rights, so it doesn’t see differencies if user want to insert data or update existing for now.
Maybe this will be improved in future.

I too have a similar problem,
I solved by putting the lock to cells that do not fill,
but if a user changes the contents of some cells that are to remain free,
modified by one also remain for all other users:
is there a way to reset the cells to each different client access ??(for instance: a person who connects from New York should not see the changes made by a person in Los Angeles;-)

anyone can ruin your work … having permission to modify all cells …
because in the case of read-only no client may interact, and this is another problem …
how can you solve?

Hi, spreadsheet doesn’t support partial access rights. User may have full access or don’t have it at all.
There is no way to change this behaviour for now.
Any updates on this? Can we allow partial edit rights?
