Can we resize image before the upload?

Hi,
I was looking at the vault object and wetter it could be used in something we are looking for. Our workflow would be to enable users to upload image from their computer but also from their mobile phone, taking the picture live. The challenge is that we don’t want to transfer the full picture resolution since the phone resolution could be pretty big. Is there any way in vault to resize the image(s) before doing the upload? If there is nothing built-in, have anyone been able to do it or have a way they suggest to achieve this?
