According to the user guide one can save, download code in Online Visual Designer, but in reality the only option I see there when clicking on the gear icon is to create a new project. Although, I can save code into Snippets, it only remains there until I finish my browser session. The next time I open the browser and go to designer, my code is lost…

Be sure to use latest Chrome or FF - snippets must be permanent for the same browser
As for saving - there is no direct saving, as it is an online version ( desktop version can save directly to file-system ) - if you need the final code you can switch to the code view and copy-paste it.
I use FF 5.0.1 on Intel Mac. I quit browser, wait a couple of seconds, then when restarting browser I can see the list of Snippets I have saved, but in the layout area my work is lost, the code has gone. Nothing happens when I click on a previously saved collection.
Is there any solution to this? Thanks
Hi,
snippets is the only part of the tree which is saved between the sessions, you can save your work there before you close the browser(right click on “Snippets”, add Collection and d’n’d your components into it), and when you open designer again just drag them back to the main ui/popups.
Or there is a problem with snippets?
