Changing Month Tab and function

I want to remove the Month tab. I’m not going to use the Month view at all.

I want to put in place a small Calendar Icon on the navigation bar and when clicked have it bring up a Mini Calendar to select a date to view in Day View.

Is this possible?

Worked like a charm, get the calendar icon up in place of the month tab and now it shows the mini-calendar when clicked on and goes right to that days rooms view when clicked on. Thank you.
