Which operation you mean by “clipboard”?
Such operations rowToClipboard and cellToClipboard will work correctly , but block-selection will not work ( the group-holders are pseudo element and can’t be processed by block selection functionality )

Technically - yes, the selected data will be correctly copied to clipboard ( or pasted from clipboard )
Selection will affect only visible part of hierarchy, so data in closed branches will be ignored.
