clist in xml

hi,



i am creating a clist in xml and all is loading fine, except if a set a text value of nothing (an empty string) or if i dont try to set it at all it says ‘undefined’ in the clist when the grid loads



if i set a value that is in the clist then it shows it fine. why is this happening please and how can i set it where no values are set in the clist without it saying undefined
