Combo saves wrong data

I have a combo on a form that I load from a MS SQL Server My options in the combo are proper which are the names. When I save the form to the database I save the ID of the record not the name. so Instead of Marble I get 3000. Is there an opton I can set that will allow the saving to be the names I see in the combo
