Are there any samples that use JSON (NOT XML) for a custom loading type?
It does not appear that the JSON is getting passed to the process function properly, even though switching from a custom to a JSON loading type works with fine.
Unfortunately there is no ready samples for the custom JSON type.
You may try to use the following tutorial:

It should work well for JSON type.
