It’s possible to connect subtasks of two project tasks. But after doing this the dependencies don’t work as expected. They don’t update each other. Is this an extra setting or is it just not possible?

It’s possible to connect subtasks of two project tasks. If you create a link between two tasks from different projects, the ASAP constraint will be set to a dependent task, so the task will start as soon as its predecessor tasks end.

Probably, the issue should be related to Gantt configuration, but it is hard to suggest what might be wrong as I don’t see your code.
