I was wondering does dhtmlxCombo allow filtering based on Arabic character. if yes then how can i configure it to do so.

In latest version of dhtmlxCombo the mask , which sent to server, processed by encodeURIComponent command - so it must be correctly received on server side.
Client side filtering code use regexps, which must work correctly in case of correct page encoding - so there is no technical limitation.
If problem still occurs - please send any kind of sample where problem can be reconstructed ( you can send it directly to support@dhtmlx.com ) , we will try to resolve it.
