Disable dhtmlxlayout or dhtmlxlayoutcell?

I have a layout with pattern “2U”. In first cell I displayed treeMenu and in second cell I have a tabbar in which i load the URL on click of tree item.
once the URL is loaded in tabbar an dhtmlxwindow is opened, when window is onfocus i need to disable a layout cell(treeMenu) .
