The examples I’ve found use the original PHP generator. Are there any examples of how to add export to PDF and Excel with the newer Java classes? thanks, Jim Dixon

Client side will be the same as for php. Only export-URL will be to your java-server.
Server side you may use from here:

You have to deploy package grid-pdf-java.war and run server.
