I have a grid that implements many columns (>30). I am using hidden columns within the grid, but when I do, the footer cells don’t display correctly. Can this be fixed?

Which version of grid you are using?
There must not be any problem with footers and column hiding in grid 1.6, the only possible problem - if column which you need to hide, included in colspan inside footer - you need to hide all column included in colspan. It not possible to hide only part of columns included in colspan without visual distorsion.
