funny charactors being inserted

if i go to add a new event in the admin area and put in:

GTi International Show - Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicester

and click save, when i come back to it, it has been changed to:

and i don’t know why this is happening ?

Those are not generated by scheduler for sure.
Maybe you have some plugin in the browser, which alters data on the fly.
