Getting "Activex popup" on IE8

hI ,
i downloaded dhtmlx library.
But when i tried to run it on Internet explorer 8, it displayed popup “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer…”.

But when I access , “www.dhtmlx.com” site with demo applications, I am not getting any popup.

Please help me to get this clarified what could be the issue.

Regards,
VM

IE allows to define different security settings for different types of pages.
( by default all kind of pages allow signed activeX usage )

It seems that on your PC, local pages configured to be run with high security settings. It can be adjusted in IE’s settings

thanx for your prompt response.

So i assume that if i host same on any app or web server , it would not give me any issue.

Yep, it must not cause such issues.
( if you are loading page directly from local filesystem - switching to local webserver and http paths may help as well )

To solve your problem, I recommend you first check the degree of compatibility between your machine and the activex. You can use www.activextest.com just to be sure. It might actually help solve your problem.
