Getting the date of the week being viewed

Hi,

Is there a way to pull the date from the scheduler of the week being viewed?

I know that it is contained at dhx_cal_date, but is there a better way than having to manipulate this string?

on client side ( javascript ) it is accessible as

scheduler.getState().date
