Grid filtering with large data

Hi,
i have a grid with around 30K rows of the data, with a select_filter. when i try filtering for a value which has large result the grid freezes for couple of seconds then data loads. If i select filter which has lesser rows, data loads fast.
Is there any fix for this issue.
