if you click double on cell in “Status” column, then select resets to first option. Try to change value to last one “Not started” for example. Then when you blur this control, and click double on it again, it set to first option automatically.

Your reported problem was fixed in the latest (7.3 ver) update of the dhx.Suite.
Now the select editor’s values display correctly initially.
You can test it in your original snippet.
Please, try to download the latest available dhx.Suite build from your client’s area to get that fix.
