Hiding empty hours in week/day view

I have a client who is using the week view and would like me to hide hours that don’t have events defined for them. Chopping hours off the ends using start_hour and end_hour works fine, but they would also like me to hide hours in btwn if possible (sigh). I realize the agenda view would probably work better for them, but they’re set on the week view. Is there a way to do this without complete hacking the scheduler to pieces?

It is not possible to remove the hours from middle of the time scale.
As possible solution, oncoming version 3.0 will have weekly-agenda view, which will combine functionality of week and agenda view.
