I cannot update Scheduler (for Joomla) options in backend

I cannot update the Schedule (Joomla) options in the backend.
I keep getting message "There was error during configuration saving. Last stable configuration restored. Error report saved to “com_scheduler_log.xml”.
Also, I cannot see the any settings in the “Access Rights” tab in the backend setup.
Please let me know what the problem might be.

PS - This module looks great and I am anxious to use it.

Please, try to execute the follow query to database:

SELECT value FROM {prefix}scheduler_options WHERE name='scheduler_xml';

replace {prefix} with your database prefix value.
Could you provide result of this request?

The value is blanks.
Let me know if there is something that I need to change this to, or if there are other values that I need to check/change.

Please, try to use Restore button.

I am not sure where the “restore” button is.
All that I have is the “default” button. But when I press that, I still cannot save anything in the back end and get the same error message that I received before.
Let me know what else I can do.

I also wanted to add that I am using Joomla 2.5 - not sure if this scheduler works with J 2.5 or just J 1.5 .
Anyway, let me know what I can try. I have uninstalled it then re-installed it and get the same result.

I have installed/activated/set menu item for joomla_com_scheduler_v30_120425.zip for use in Joomla 2.5 . Is this all that I need to install or are there other *.zip files that I need to install to have this work for me? I have looked over the info on your site and it does not seem to tell me that I need to install anything else. Please help me with this as I am stuck and not sure what to try next. Thanks.

OK, I read the response on the link and commented on that thread.
I can access -
components/com_scheduler/
administrator/components/com_scheduler/
and access to scheduler administrator page in admin panel.
I cannot find com_scheduler_log.xml.
The component is set up on the front end and can be seen on a page. No one but the super admin can add or change an event on the calendar.
I can access the back end admin settings. But I get this error message whenever I press the update button - and obviously cannot set or change any of the back end options.

I think that access.xml file is missing. What folder is that supposed to be in and how can I get it in there if it is missing? What component should I be loading? Is it more than just this one - joomla_com_scheduler_v30_120425.zip.
