Is Drag and drop supported on Layout?

In dhtmlxLayout, is it possible to drag one cell to another (doing exchange of contents) using the mouse?

yes, it is achievable. However, this feature is not implemented in the layout and requires a lot of custom coding.

Panels in the dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/exampl … ortal.html sample are more similar to windows, not to layout cells:
dhtmlx.com/docs/products/dht … eepin.html

You may try to attach windows viewport to layout cells. Windows can be moved, but there is such a drag-n-drop support as in the ExtJS sample.
