Is it mandatory to add layout pages in mvc4

hi,
I am using dhtmlx asp.net scheduler in mvc4.In the sample I have downloaded You have added three layout pages(_sampleLayout.cshtml,_SiteLayout.cshtml and SampleHeader.cshtml) and one styles file(samples.css).Is it mandatory add these files.

If not,can u send me sample project for that.

no, these files are optional.
You may check our example on NuGet which has simplier structure
