issue with the data grid (coro), dataproccesor and ....

Hi

I have two problem with a column of “coro” type but is large to explain:

I need to show in a grid the data of a mysql table “referencias” and update via DP (dataprocessor) this is working well.

The problem is that one of the fields of this table is a foreign key of another table (lineas), then in this field the value is: the ID (correspondent) of another table (lineas>.
I am dispaying the values for update using “ed” excell tipe , but in the field in relation I am using a “coro” because proggramatically i am generating the elements using PHP and SQL querys (select * from lineas) and the output is in the next way:

bodega pereira

bodega 1 bodega2 bodega 4 .. . . . . .

And now my problem 1 is “i need to show the grid with references using the name NOT THE ID, but when the user update this row the dataprocessor update using the NAME not the ID”

and
my problem 2 is “if I have two or more of this colums (relationated: foreign key), and update one of them , the other send the NAME not the ID using the dataprocessor” I need to update the ID in the database (master-slave relation) butthe user mus see only the names.

I don’t know how this can be done,thanks for your help.

I an sending too the XML file generated using PHP y MYSQL wich is used to populate the grid in question.

For co|coro columns grid will always send VALUE of option. So if you have provided list of options with name and id - it will always send ID to the server side. It is not configurable.

the other send the NAME not the ID using the dataprocessor
When grid load data it compares cell value with all possible options and if any of them match, it will set correct name|id pair.
So to work correctly you need to have

  • cell value is ID of options
  • there is no any extra whitespaces around of ID

in such case after data loading, grid will show correct label (“bodega 1”) and during data saving will send 0001 to server side.

P.S. Do you need to show different sets of options for different rows, otherwise you can define list of options once per grid, and do not include it for each row.
