Joomla Customization

Hi,

I am very interested into using it but i do not know how to adapt to my needs.
I am using Joomla as framework. So i can use the Scheduler in the component i develope or as the component made from DHX.
I want to display a calendar for managing diferent equipment from 5 different rooms.

Each room have different equipments, so i though of making 5 diferents calendars. Each of them with a Custom field with his color and Use as Units utility.

But i don’t know how to replicate the component 5 times (having in account that different tables on the DDBB have to be created.

On the other hand, i tried to implement from scratch on my own (using the library) and i have no success.

Any help or advice ?

It will be simplier to start with standalone scheduler, that change existing component.

a) Grab scheduler’s package dhtmlx.com/docs/products/dhtmlxS … eduler.zip
b) import dhtmlxScheduler\samples\common\dump_shared.sql in the test DB
c) set DB setttings in the dhtmlxScheduler\samples\common\config.php
d ) check samples\02_customization\shared_events\user_1.html

basically you will need to show similar content on the joomla’s page ( simplest solution - through an iframe ), the only change - in the next line 1 need to be replaced with php code , which will output ID of your current user.
