Hey there mods and support members,

Are there any plans to add Microsoft Project support to DHTMLX Gannt? I am going to build a client sided Gantt software. The number 1 request is compatibility with Microsoft project.

DHTMLX documentation shows that DHTMLX works with xml files, but an old forum topic suggested that it won’t work with MS project xml’s.

Is this still the case?
Are there plans in the future to improve compatibility with MS Project?

Hi,
adding support of MS project data format is in our to-do list - currently it is planned as a import/export of gantt data (i.e. convert .mpp to gantt data, serialize gantt data to .mpp).
However, most probably the functionality will be implemented not earlier than the end of the year

Can you provide an update on the scheduled release of dhtmlGantt support for MS Project files, and some details on the features being implemented.

Hi,
the feature has been delayed for a some time.
We’re planning to have a working version of export from gantt to MS Project by the end of this week - at the beginning of the next one. We don’t have a release date yet, but you can contact sales for access to dev version, if you want to evaluate tool dhtmlx.com/docs/contact.shtml

The tool will work with projects in XML format, not MPP
