Next Update of Scheduler?

When can we expect the next update of the Scheduler?
Will it contain more complete management of editing recurring events?

Right now we can only edit the whole series or just one element, but we need to be able to edit part of the series also (like Google Calendar).

Next update will not provide such functionality for sure. We making few fixes for recurring events ( last days of month, summer-time shifting, etc. ) but there is no plans for global changes in recurring functionality

Any tips on how to approach my problem?
I need to be able to edit part of the series, like Google Calendar.
(Like when I edit an event that is part of a recurring event, when I click save, it should ask me:
Do you want to update: This instance, The whole series, All events after this one)

Where should I start working on that?

Scheduler doesn’t provide the public api for such kinds of operations, so only way - code modification. Unfortunately there is no samples or tutorials about this topic.
