No hotkey with checkbox

I was laying out my menu and noticed that the hotkey will not be shown if type=“checkbox”. Is there any special reason for this?

There was a bug in the setHotKey method. We’ve fixed it - try using the attached file instead of the original.

That works. But there is an alert() that needs to be commented out.
