openItemsDynamic item not found

The openItemsDynamic command works very well when the item opening is present in the database. The command appears to get stuck when its trying to open an none existing item. The “onOpenDynamicEnd” never fires (understandably), but any further openItemsDynamic commands to open existing items are unsuccessful as well.

Any hints / thoughts?
