Parse Error after installing

I installed the component, then went to Components >> Scheduler

and get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ …

Searched forum, but it seems that people are getting it later on… I can’t even go into it at all. Help please?

I get the exact same error - hope someone replies with a solution. I am using Joomla 1.5.15.

Which version of PHP is used in the problematic case?
Such kind of error can appears if you are using PHP 4.x ( component will work only with PHP 5.x )
