Saving multiple records at a time in java using Grid

Hi
I am new to this grid.
Most of the samples i observed that at a time we can save only one record in a database using this grid.
Is there any option to save multiple records at a time in a database using grid.
So that i can reduce the number of hits to my server.

Can any one please tell me is there any option available or not?
