Basically it seems you can’t scroll on gantt without using sidebar on Edge browser. if you try to scroll using touch pad on laptop then the whole window moves, rather than just the gantt timeline
any solution on how to handle this when the user is using an edge browser?

Thank you for reporting about that issue. I was able to reproduce it and added it in the tracker. There are not so many things we can do with the Edge browser, but the dev team will try to fix the bug.
I will notify you when the fix is ready or if it is not possible to fix that bug.
Could you also clarify what kind of sidebar you mean?
