Can it be done as in version 5, in the grid so that each row and cell can be of different types?
In dhtmlx5 setCellExcellType is used.

There are no custom excell types inthe dhx.Grid 8.
You are able to use the column template:
and it allows you to use different templates ofr the cells of a column.
