showTask method after adding a task

Hi,

I am adding a task to Gantt chart using a button out of the gantt-chart. I could add tasks to the gantt chart. But the added tasks are not visible immediately after adding them. I used the showTask method with the id of added task. Yet it is not visible. Can I get help in this regard?
