How can I sort the data in a link column. The data is being sent as abc^www.abc.com.

If data provided in specified format link column will sort by Text part of link (“abc” in your example), this is defautl behaviour which doesn’t require any additional command.
If you need some other kind of sorting - you can use custom sorting functions.
