I agree. Seems very illogical that the component only accepts date when most tasks do not start at exactly 00:00:00. Some real world tasks may take just a few hours within the day and some span starting from the middle of the day to the break of dawn the following day. This gantt chart wont be able to specifically see the detailed operation and defeats the purpose why you are going to use a gantt chart without this feature. Unless I am missing something here.
In case of dhtmlxChart 2.0 - there is no limitation for time scales, it will work with any units from minutes to years
