Target not working in IMG cell

Hello,



I have an img excell in my 1.6 grid with the data:



/images/sp.gif^tooltip^http://www.google.com^_self.



However, regardless of the target provided, the link is opened in a new window : _parent, _self, and _top all respond like _blank

How can I force it to open in the same window?

The issue was not reconstructed locally.  We have attached the sample
