I see that the task dates are outside the displayed date range. The dates are in 2013, while the date range is within September - December 2021. With this configuration, you should see an empty timeline. The option show_tasks_outside_timescale allows displaying these tasks in the grid. And this is what I see in the snippet. So, everything works as expected.
