Using DHTMLX Gantt on an existing Project Management Databas

Is it possible to have DHTMLX Gantt read off an existing database of the Project Management software that I am currently using? If so, what code would I need to change?

Gantt can read data from json or XML stream, if you can export data from your current software in some raw format, you will be able to load it in the Gantt.

In next month we plan to provide the ability to work with MS Project files ( basic functionality only ). Do you think we need to look at some other formats ?
