Here: https://github.com/DHTMLX/connector-php there is small sample and gantt connector and updated 4 months ago

You’re right, the following link has the latest DHTMLX connector:
That component is not actively developed. Although you can use it as an easy and quick start, it won’t be so easy if you try to create something complex.
