I was wondering if it was possible to implement a method of using whole day events (which accept no time, but only dates). I was thinking, I should be able to drag and drop the event, and it will load a form_block which has two calendar extender controls (One for the start date, and one for the end date). I would also expect if the event ran from the 9th-13th, the block would not be placed on the 13th, as it would only run up until that date.

For now such functionality could be added as custom section for lightbox.
Just a matter of how exactly you will treat end date in your custom section (either end date yyyy.mm.13 00:00 or yyyy.mm.14 00:00).
